Halcyon Outdoor started with our passion for hiking in the mountains of Indonesia, we found many things related to inadequate equipment such as tents, shoes and other climbing equipment.
In 2015 we began to conduct market research related to the need and support of equipment so that climbing activities can be safer and more comfortable.
In early 2020 we were trusted by one of the brands from the United States to become a distributor that focuses on ultralight gear to market its products in Indonesia and Singapore. to this day we are an official partner for several brands such as Gossamer Gear, Enlightened Equipment, Zpacks, Durston Gear, Cnoc Outdoors, Hydroblu, Mazama Design, Common Gear, Kula Cloth, TheTentLab, Cascade Wild, CuloClean, Membrane Solutions and others.
The meaning of the name Halcyon:
We take the name halcyon from a genus of tree kings, birds close to passerines in the subfamily Halcyoninae.
Halcyon means tranquillity/peace
The combination of bird sounds and tranquillity is the meaning of nature that we crave while hiking.
